Owner and Director – Juan de Bruyn
Hi all, thought I would do a little introduction of myself so you can know a little better whom and why you should entrust your beloved pet with me. My name is Juan de Bruyn and I am the owner and founder of FurBuddies, named after my very own fur child called Buddy. Buddy is a rescue and crept into my heart 4 years and I haven’t looked back, we have a bond like no other and besides being my best friend he’s my number one supporter and me his.
As a child I was that child that relentlessly saved and fed homeless dogs or dogs in need, my first job was at Perky Pets at the age of ten and this planted the seed of pet care and the importance of caring for your pet in the correct manner. I volunteered at animal shelters throughout my life and continue to help where I can.
FurBuddies was started through my passion for animals and mostly for man’s best friend, with 16 years hospitality experience I finally decided to follow my heart and passion.
I hold an international diploma in Canine Behaviour & Training through Pet Sense (Compass College UK) and various online courses through Udemy to ensure that my skills remain current and relevant.
