Classes are +/- 45 mins plus 15 mins for play and socialisation and are held on at 10AM over 4 consecutive Saturday mornings at our venue in Durbanville, usually starting on the first Saturday of each month. Based on demand, we may offer a second class at 11AM.
Should you miss a class, we will have a 9:30AM catch-up class prior to commencing with the weekly class.
Our venue provides indoor and outdoor facilities which allows us to provide training all year round.
During the classes we also observe and assess each pup constantly for what may later present as behavioral issues such as reactivity, aggression etc. We’ll give you feedback and can provide 1 on 1 at home consultations outside of the classes if needed, additional charges apply.
We will provide weekly homework on the WhatsApp group started before each course. Dogs, like humans, learn best by repetition. You should try and get in at least one or two 15-20 min training sessions in per day with your pup based on the previous class and the homework provided.
For an effective long-term outcome, you will need to invest 15 – 30 mins a day doing “homework” with your FurBuddies between weekly classes to cement their skills. Please be prepared to set this time aside – consistency over intensity – every day!
Your pup MUST at least have had its second vaccination to join the class for the protection of your pup and all the other pups in the class. The second vaccination is important because it includes the parvo virus inoculation.
Available training slots will be shown on the application form.
Separation anxiety has become a common issue with dogs and puppys following the COVID epidemic. FurParents are now having to return to the office and the dogs and puppies that became accustomed to constant human companionship can be affected. This often leads to behavioral problems such as barking, destructive behaviour etc. Furbuddies are able to assist with this through individual consultation, socialization and tailored training classes.
If you are unsure which one to choose, you can reach us on the contact details provided or complete the below general enquiry form our click the WhatsApp button to chat to us during business hours.
